A short list of the movements shaping the projects crossing our sample table this year.
Warm minimalism, finally
Cold, gallery-white minimalism is over. Its replacement is a warmer, more Mediterranean version — ivory, bone, sand, clay — softer, more human, less clinical.
Tonal architecture
Walls, floors, joinery and ceilings pulled into a single close tonal family. The eye reads the volume of the room instead of its individual surfaces. Mineral finishes do this naturally; paint struggles to.
Curved plaster returns
Arched openings, sculpted fireplaces, radiused wall returns finished in hand-troweled plaster. Not for novelty — because plaster is the one finish that wraps a curve without a visible seam.
None of this is a fashion cycle. It is a quiet correction toward materials that were always going to outlast the era that briefly forgot them.
